Weekly Update...

Dear Band Members, I am currently in conversation with both the school administration and marching band staff concerning a schedule for this week's school and marching band activities.  I will post something once I hear back from everyone and then have some time to contemplate the best plan for our band.  We will post something by 9:00 PM this evening!

Tonight's Update

Friday, September 20th - UPDATE... In order to make things a little easier for all of us who are thinking and praying for our friend I have decided to bring the band to the football game BUT to simply act as a pep band in the stands  . We will NOT be performing a halftime show so we will not need to load a lot of pit equipment. I had to make a decision based on a lot of information, and do realize that whatever decision I made just may be unpopular with some band members.  This, however, is the decision for this week!  Thanks for understanding!!! THERE WILL BE NO BAND PRACTICE AFTER SCHOOL .  USE THE TIME TO PREPARE YOUR UNIFORMS, SHINE SHOES, GET T-SHIRTS (REQUIRED) AND HAVE DINNER (TACOS) AT 4:30 PM) The buses will leave at 5:30 PM for Northmor!

Weekly Update and THANKS!!!

Weekend Update... I would personally like to thank all the parents and family members who returned the Music Booster Volunteer Form in a timely manner.  Moreover, I'd like to thank all the parent volunteers who have been coming out to help at the concession stand, load instruments, donate their vehicles to transport items, run or attend meetings, serve on committees, head fundraisers, balance record books or  simply just lend a hand where needed.  You are the people who make it possible for us to find success in what we do!  Out of the 179 Booster Volunteer Forms that were "mailed" to band member's homes 17 were returned.  While that is a rather disheartening number (and we wonder why), it is obvious that we do have a very supportive core of families who see value in supporting the other students and parents who are out there every week making it all happen! Please get involved!  It's not too late Someday you're going to wish you had! 😀

Important! Please read!

Happy Summer Everybody!   😅 Just a couple of updates... 1)  Columbus Day Trip :  While we did have 49 students and 6 chaperones register for the trip,we needed to pull it from the calendar.  Just not quite enough to march either a parade or perform a field show.  It's cool!  We'll try again next year! 2)  ALL Marching Band Polo Shirt orders are being placed ( called-in ) this Friday morning (May 31st).   We have to purchase in bulk as the company will not make / print any less than 15 of them at a time, so if you do not get your payment [for your polo shirt] in by that time you may not receive one! 3) Drum line & Pit ...  Don't forget we have practice this Wednesday, May 29th from 7-8:30.   Mr. D. will run the drum line, and ALL of the practice will be spent on the "Journey of Man" show!  We'll break-up into sectionals, too! 4)  Next Marching Band Practice :  Friday, June 21st  5-8 PM!  See ya then!
