Calendars and schedules

Calendar and schedule info...           Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience with last minute changes to schedules having to do with the marching band.  Sometimes we need to change things when the people who work for us and with us are only available at certain times, i.e. Parent volunteers for uniform fittings, photographers,  vendors, etc...  We attempt to stick to the calendar as close as possible, and from here on out that should be the case.  Tying together the loose ends has been a challenge this season, and we are at the mercy of the schedules of others, which in turn has an affect on what we need to do.  Please understand, however, that Mr. D and Mrs. Teschler NEVER leave the school until every band member has been picked-up by their parents.  A student will never be left to wait alone.  Uniform fitting went very slowly last evening because so many changes need to be made...and it ran right through our practice time.  It was a priority at that time.  Thanks for b

Band Camp Update!!

Congratulations !      What a super band camp, huh???   Yeah! BUT.... Dear Band Parents...

We are sorry if our last minute  band camp schedule changes have caused any problems!  We ran in to some road blocks and unfortunately needed time to take care of things.  We will go until 5 PM tomorrow (Friday) as we usually do cur the last couple hours a bit short on the last day of camp...BUT... 1). Please be sure your child has a "LYRE" for their instrument by the 1st day of school.   You can get them at Music and Arts in Westerville, Rettig Music in Dublin or any other music store.  You can also call Pellegrino Music in Canton and they'll deliver it to the school for you!!!  You'll need to know the make and model of the instrument as lyres are not a one size fits all kind of item! 2). During the first week of school the kids will have band practice on Wednesday and Thursday from 5-7 PM in preparation for their first performance on that Friday, the 18th!   The Bash in the Burg is also scheduled at the church on Thursday the 17th and they'll be inviting

It all begins TOMORROW! (Band Camp 2023!)

Just a reminder to all our super marching band members... CHS 2023 Band Camp begins tomorrow!  Please refer to the 2 week band camp schedule so you know exactly when you need to be at camp! 🔎 Any and all fall athletes who are also in band should be aware that the hours of 8AM - 12 Noon are  set aside for the learning of the 28 page drill (Band choreography) and that attendance during that time (or most of it) is really important! For Everybody:  As stated above, we absolutely need everyone present , especially in the morning when learning new drill.  If you're absent for any reason it will cause you to fall behind AND cause all those band members around you to anguish as they will not be able to learn their drill efficiently!  PLEASE...hold off on the doctor appointments or anything else that will cause you not to be at camp! REMEMBER... vacation time is over!  If you're registered for band then we'll expect you there and remember that:  WORK IS NOT AN EXCUSE !!! Lookin
