Columbus Day Parade Trip Registration: This Wednesday, May 15th is the last day you are able to register online with Bob Rogers Travel for the October 12th-14th marching band trip to NYC. NO PAYMENTS ARE NEEDED TO REGISTER!
"NEW" Music Electives! Two new music electives were just approved for the 2019-20 school year. They are:
1) INSTRUMENTAL TECHNIQUES: A half year (semester-long) class that consists of many facets; private practice time, solo coaching, technique building, pedagogical information about your instrument, OMEA Solo & Ensemble preparation, viewing videos of masterclasses on your instrument, etc... This class is "supervised" rather than taught per se! ALL band members should be willing to take at least one semester.
2) SYMPHONIC WINDS: A year long "advanced" band or wind ensemble experience focusing on one player per part. The Symphonic Winds will perform music of a more difficult nature. Students are accepted by either recommendation and/or audition. Prerequisite: Participation in Concert Band.
New Band Polo Shirt Orders: Need to go out early next week. If you have not turned-in the $27 for a band polo please do so!

CHS Graduation Ceremony: Sun., May 19th. Band members please be seated by 2:30 PM - SELECTIONS: Pomp & Circumstance (Graduation Processional) & final performance with seniors -Ascending (from concert) - Appropriate attire please!
Summer Color Guard Practices:
June: 18th, 19th and 20th - 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM 21st - 5:00 - 8:00 PM (with full band)
July: 22nd - 25th (Guard Camp) 26th - Cedar Point Parade
July: 29th - Aug. 2nd - Band Camp August 2nd @ 7:00 PM - Band performance and ice cream social.
Centerburg Memorial Day Parade: Monday, May 27th ( THIS PAST YEAR'S BAND ONLY! - NO NEWBIES!) Khakis and Polos!
USA Days Parade Practice: Friday evening, June 21st. ( 5-8 PM)
Centerburg USA Days Parade: Saturday, June 22nd (THIS PAST YEAR'S BAND ONLY. NEW MEMBERS "MAY" PARTICIPATE - BUT NOT REQUIRED!) Khakis and Polos!
The "New" 2019-20 Trojan Pride Marching Band meets for the first time as a group during "Mini-Camp" week beginning on Monday, July 22nd! This is the first time all NEW MEMBERS will be present (other than guard and/or percussion sectionals during June)!
