Happy June Everyone!

Week of June 3rd - 7th, 2019 IMPORTANT... ATTENTION MARCHING BAND MEMBERS!     HELP! We Need Your Flip books!!!  NOW !  We came in to today to put together ALL NEW flip books and low and behold there are all of "7" of them in the flip book box!  We're trying to get them all updated, numbered and assigned before the parade so PLEASE drop yours off at the high school office .  NOW !   Thanks! Next Drum Line & Pit Practice:  This coming Tuesday, June 4th from 7:00 - 8:30 PM.   You've been doing a super job so far!  Keep it up.  Besides, drums once a week is fun, right?  "IF" you are unable to attend we must receive a notification from your folks!  Thanks! Next Marching Band Practice:  Friday, June 21st from 5:00 - 8:00 PM . ( We'll have your new flip books ready for you by then!) Heart of Ohio U.S.A. Days Parade:  Saturday, June 22nd

First Week of the Summer Update!

Happy Summer Everybody!   ðŸ˜… Just a couple of updates... 1)  Columbus Day Trip :  While we did have 49 students and 6 chaperones register for the trip,we needed to pull it from the calendar.  Just not quite enough to march either a parade or perform a field show.  It's cool!  We'll try again next year! 2)  ALL Marching Band Polo Shirt orders are being placed ( called-in ) this Friday morning (May 31st).   We have to purchase in bulk as the company will not make / print any less than 15 of them at a time, so if you do not get your payment [for your polo shirt] in by that time you may not receive one! 3) Drum line & Pit ...  Don't forget we have practice this Wednesday, May 29th from 7-8:30.   Mr. D. will run the drum line, and ALL of the practice will be spent on the "Journey of Man" show!  We'll break-up into sectionals, too! 4)  Next Marching Band Practice :  Friday, June 21st  5-8 PM!  See ya then! Memorial Day!

Hey!  Thanks Everybody! I want to take just a moment to thank all of the dedicated Trojan Pride Band Members who once again came out to the Centerburg Memorial Day Parade .  Knowing you could have been doing any number of things instead, you saw it fit as usual to support your team, your school and, most importantly, your community and it's fallen heroes!  Again, I salute you and treasure you as students!   Have a super summer!  God Bless! Last Week of School Bulletin

End Notes: Field Commander Audition Results:   We want to thank everyone who came out to audition for field commander this year.  Your dedication to the group does not go unnoticed!  This year's Field commanders are:  John Daniels and Emily James .  Congrats to all for a great job well done!! Columbus Day Trip Registration Extension:  Open 'till the end of the month .  Deposits won't be due for some time after that !  Currently about 2/3 of the band is registered!! Columbus Day Trip Registration

ATTENTION MARCHING BAND Because we had so many people just register for the trip in the last 2 days, Bob Rogers Travel feels we should leave the registration open until the end of May .  If you haven't registered there's still time! By the way, If your child is going into the 8th grade but is already in marching band then the trip is obviously open to them as well.   There are plenty of Bob Rogers Travel log-in forms on the grand piano in the band room!

Last School Year Post!

More to come in June! Columbus Day Parade Trip Registration :  This Wednesday, May 15th is the last day you are able to register online with Bob Rogers Travel for the October 12th-14th marching band trip to NYC.  NO PAYMENTS ARE NEEDED TO REGISTER! " NEW" Music Electives !   Two new music electives were just approved for the 2019-20 school year.  They are: 1)  INSTRUMENTAL TECHNIQUES :  A half year (semester-long) class that consists of many facets; private practice time, solo coaching, technique building, pedagogical information about your instrument, OMEA Solo & Ensemble preparation, viewing videos of masterclasses on your instrument, etc...  This class is "supervised" rather than taught per se!  ALL band members should be willing to take at least one semester. 2)  SYMPHONIC WINDS :  A year long "advanced" band or wind ensemble experience focusing on one player per part.  The Symphonic Winds will perform music of a more difficult nat

End of the School Year Update!

End of the School Year! Congratulations to all the music students for their performances in the District Fine Arts Festival! Another Congratulations to Mrs. Stasi Culbertson , who, after many years has been hired as a "full time" music teacher in our music program.  She will be teaching the choirs as well as 6th and 7th grade general music classes! Welcome!  A big Trojan Pride Welcome goes out to Kasey Ell as our newly hired color guard instructor.  Kasey has participated in guard try-outs and is ready to go!  Good luck this year!
