It's Homecoming Week!
Marching Band practices: Monday = 3:00 - 4:30 PM, Wednesday = 3:00 - 4:30 PM & Friday = 3:00 - 4:00 PM. (Pizza Dinner on Friday) Please bring $5 for pizza by Thursday!
Wednesday Homecoming Parade: Band members please report in band polos and jeans to the Centerburg Post Office no later than 6:45 PM. The parade steps-off AT 7:00 PM!
Friday: We will practice on the field in our pre-game block on the 50. Alumni Band Members have been invited to join us at 3:30 PM for a run through of the half-time music. Songs to include: Fight Song, Son of a Preacher Man and Land of a Thousand Dances. You may use your flips, but please practice your music!
Calling all Canterburg Band Alumni! This Friday, Oct. 6th, we will have a pre-game run through of the Alumni Band music at 3:30 PM on the band practice field. Songs include: The fight song, Son of a Preacher Man and Land of a Thousand Dances. You will join us for the halftime show (simple pre-game block formation) on the field. Music is available in the CHS Band Room. Hope to see you there!!
Middle School Google Classrooms: Please be advised that students have musical examples to perform every two weeks! Examples "should" be recorded and then attached to Google Classroom, but may also performed "live" for Mr. D. if they don not have access to an i-phone or computer with recording capabilities.
OMEA High School Honor Band Audition Recordings: are due no later than this Thursday! Students should see Mr. D. for help with their scales and/or excerpts if needed!!
High School Chairplacement Tests: Are due to the HS Band Google Classroom BY Wednesday, October 11th This is NOT optional and is worth 100 pts. Examples and scales must be recorded and attached to Google Classroom. Chair placements and concert band folders will be ready by Monday, October 16th! Good Luck Everybody!!!
