COVID - 19 Instrument Bell Cover Requirement for January

Hello all wonderful band members and their families.  

Happy Holidays!!!            Instrument Covers!

Beginning in January it will be a requirement of each and every band member to use an instrument "bell cover" to minimize the level of aerosol produced by playing an instrument.  These literally cut the aerosol (amount of humidity and droplets) coming out of the instrument by up to 80%!!  Students will need to be equipped with their bell covers at all times.  Unfortunately, there is nothing for flutes, as the physics of playing the flute do not lend themself to wearing a mask or bell cover.

We are working with Rettig Music in Dublin to contract the best price possible price, and right now we're right around $5.50 - $7.00.  A flyer will go home with your son or daughter early next week (right after the concert recordings are done) and we really ask for you to return your payment to the band office by the due date so we can place the order in a timely fashion!   👀
