Band Camp Info.

Welcome back to another super season!

Before we show the schedule please see a couple guidelines below.  Thanks!  Looking forward to seeing everybody next week!!!

1.  Please remember that in order to be in the marching band  participation at band camp is mandatory.  We have 5 days + Sunday afternoon to organize and put everything together for the season.

2.  "IF" you have a scheduling issue or you are sick you must have your parents contact us.  e-mails sent from students stating that they have something to do, a schedule conflict or are sick will not be accepted.  It's the same as  school.  Communication MUST come from a parent.

3.  Work is not an excuse for missing any part of band camp, and should not be an excuse for missing any part of the mini camp training either.

4.  All student leaders (drum majors, section leaders, band officers,etc...) must be in attendance each and every morning beginning on Monday, July 25th.  Besides your leadership training we will be involved in a different activity every morning.  As leaders we all need to be there.

Mini Band Camp and Band Camp Schedule:

Friday, July 29th:  1-4 PM:  Full Ensemble  (same as Thursday)

Band Camp Schedule:

Daily Schedule 8 AM-12 PM,  12 PM-1 PM: LUNCH (on school grounds)  - 1PM -3:30 PM,

 3:30 PM-4 PM BREAK and 4 PM-6 PM.

NOTE:  On the final day of band camp (August 5th), we will be ending practice a bit early to travel to Mt. Vernon where we will perform our show (stand still) at the Mount Vernon First Fridays.  Please be sure to bring your red band polo, khakis and white sneakers on that day as you'll need to change into them for the Mt. Vernon performance.  We will travel with the band trailer and school buses.  Parents and families are invited to attend.  I think it will be down by that dog-themed water fountain?!  More info. to follow!

NOTE #2:  CORRECTION:  We had said previously that a band performance for families would be on that Friday, but later realized we had committed to the First Fridays performance.  The family performance on the track field will not take place, but all are invited to see the band up in Mt. Vernon on that Friday evening!  Sorry about the mix up!

Get psyched and Go Trojan Pride!
