Happy 4th of July! Now what?

 Announcements:  Week of July 5th - 9th

New Band Member Orientation:  All incoming Freshmen and Middle School-Level Band Members will receive an e-mail this week from Mr. D.  ( PLEASE CHECK YOUR SCHOOL E-MAILS ON FRIDAY!!!)  It will explain the New Member Orientation on Monday, July 26th from 1-4 PM.  There will be 3 attachments:  1). A video from Mr. D. that explains band camp and the orientation. 2). The Trojan Pride Marching Band Handbook & 3)  The New Member Orientation "Slides" Presentation.  

NOTE:  "New Member" means ANY band member who is an incoming Freshman OR any middle school-level marchers regardless of whether you've marched in past years or not!

Drumline Practices Resuming!   This coming Wednesday, July 7th we'll be resuming our evening drumline practices.  If you're in town we ask that you please attend.  These practices are for drumline ONLY.  The pit percussion will not begin practices until the week of mini camp!  See ya this Wednesday, July 7th from 6-8 PM! 😎

Marching Band Flip Books...  We've received some calls and e-mails from students about the fact that they don't yet have a flip book for the season.  We ordinarily make-up the flip books for our new members during the mini band camp week (July 26th - 30th) and distribute them to the new members by the end of the band camp weeks ( August 4th-6th or so).  The field commanders are in charge of that.  Don't worry or fret.  We'll get you everything you'll need!

Annual Marching Band Mailer:  Will go out to everyone sometime this week.  Please watch for it in the mail!

Band Camp Dates:  Week #1 = July 26th - 30th.  Drumline, pit percussion and guard from 9-Noon everyday, and various sections of the band AND New Member Orientation from 1-4 time slots in the afternoons.  Please see the full schedule in the Marching Band Handbook [accessible on the Centerburg Music Blog]!   Band Camp Week #2 = August 2nd - 6th from 8 AM 'till 4 PM every day + various daily playing sectionals from 4:15 - 5:15 PM. 

Supply / Equipment Orders... for band polos, t-shirts, shoes, etc... either have been placed or will be shortly.  Items will be distributed to those students who ordered them as soon we receive them!
