Weekly Update: Week of Feb. 24th - 28th

Just a reminder that the winter concerts are this week. The band concert for grades 7 - 12 is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb 26th at 7 PM . (Students should report by 6:40 PM) - and the Choir Concert is Scheduled for this coming Saturday, Feb 29th!
Band Concert Attire: 7th and 8th: Red Music Polos with black slacks or skirt
High School: Black and white.
Indoor Percussion: Will practice Monday evening from 6:00 - 7:30 PM
Indoor Color Guard: Will practice Monday evening from 6:00 - 7:30 PM
High School Jazz Band: Will practice Monday evening from 6:30 - 8:30 PM
7th & 8th Grade King's Island... Permission slips and first payments of $25 are due by next Friday, March 6th!
Centerburg JazzFest 2020: Is scheduled for Friday evening, April 17th in the CHS Auditorium. Students should have brought home a flyer explaining our Trophy / Plaque sponsor program. Those Families and/or companies/corporations who donate funds for jazz festival plaques will have their names listed as donors in the jazz festival program and will be announced when the award is given.
* We are preparing for a director's and clinicians hospitality room for the jazz festival, and will need volunteers to prepare and donate "pot-luck-style" dishes. As we get closer to the event we'll organize a sign-up genius and/or sign-up sheet so we cover things such as salads, main dishes, beverages, desserts, etc...
Annual Marching Band Organization Meeting AND Spring Trip Meeting: Are both scheduled for Thursday, April 23rd. The trip meeting will begin at 7:00 PM, with the marching band meeting directly following at 7:30 PM. Both meetings will be as brief as possible. Marching band payments may be accepted at the meeting. Please look for all the marching band forms in the mail over Spring Break!
The 2020 Marching Band calendar and schedule is ready. Copies are available in the band room, and will soon be accessible through the Centerburg Music Blog! Please mark your calendars!
