End of Year Update:
"LOOK"! Ammendment to Marching Band Handbook: The marching band handbook states that the ice cream social is slated for Sat,August 3rd. That is incorrect! The ice cream social is Friday, August 2nd at 7:00 PM - This "wraps-up" the final day of camp!
Mattress Fundraiser Meeting: Thank you to everyone who came out to to the Mattress Fundraiser Meeting. I don't think we met our quota though because there were only about 20 adults in attendance. Oh well. We'll just try twice as hard on Saturday, April 27th! Pass the word. BUY A MATTRESS! Thanks again!!
Trojan Pride Drum Line and Pit Percussion: Wednesday evening, April 24th - 7:00 - 8:30 PM. Please bring a 3-ring binder.
Annual Marching Band Organization Meeting: Thursday, April 25th - CHS Auditorium at 7 PM. Brief, updated slide presentation followed by collection of band forms and payments. Anyone planning on marching this season needs to be present along with at least one parent of guardian! See ya there!
Music Department Mattress Sale Fundraiser: Saturday, April 27th - 10:00 - 2:00 in the CHS Gymnasium. Avoid the middle man, try different mattresses, save tons while supporting the Centerburg Music Program! They even deliver!
Marching Band Weekend 2019: The CHS Marching Band has been accepted as a featured marching band in this year's Columbus Day Parade on 5th Ave., NYC! - Oct.12, 13 and 14 This is a nationally televised event. We'll also be attending a band competition in Northern NJ the day before. This is a 3 day / 2 night trip. Parents wishing to chaperone / serve as trailer puller or pit persons should contact Chuck Dettmar ASAP as we are in the midst of narrowing-down a final student / chaperone cost pp. More at the marching band meeting! Congratulations Band!
Spring Fine Arts Festival: Sunday, May 5th - 5:00 - 8:00 PM. Order of performance is currently being put together and reporting times for the various elementary, middle and high school ensembles will be announced shortly. High School music awards to be presented as well!
