This Week in Marching Band...(9/23 - 9/27)

 Super Job Band!!!  Congratulations on a super show in this past Saturday's Jackson Band Festival.  Even with over 12 band members absent you rose to the occasion and nailed it!  Keep up the good work!!

Announcements:

* Please remember that our last band festival is on Saturday, October 5th at New Albany High School.  This has been posted on the marching band web page since mid-summer and attendance is mandatory.  The buses will leave at 5 PM and the show begins at 7 PM.  All are welcome to attend!

* All marching band members should have gotten their copy of the Homecoming music; Dancing Queen, and have been diligently working on it.  We will practice it this Tuesday night so be sure it is in your flip book!

* The blocks for this Tuesday evening's marching band practice will be sent to all band members via Google Classroom.  Look for it 

*Due to the Wednesday evening Homecoming Parade, there will be no after-school marching band practice on that day.  Band members should report to the band room in their "spirit wear"...anything spirit-like...by 5:30 PM to get ready for the parade (which is only one time around the school, ending in the gymnasium).

* Band members should remember that the WGI Indoor winds and front ensemble Google Forms questionnaires are due by October 1st.  Don't dilly dally.

* Marching Band Student Leaders and section leaders should submit the BOA Grand Nationals / Student Leadership weekend trip Google Forms questionnaires by Monday.  They were already due!

* Jazz Band Monday evening classes/rehearsals will begin next Monday, September 30th.  Please remember that jazz Ensemble, while it meets outside of the normal school day, is a graded and credited class and that attendance counts (see course syllabus for details).

Schedule:

Tuesday:     Marching Band Practice:  6:00 - 8:30 PM

Wednesday:  NO BAND PRACTICE...report for the parade at 5:30 PM.

Friday:  Band practice 3:15 - 4:30 followed by trailer loading, band dinner.  Band members need to be at the elementary to warm up BY 5:45, as the Homecoming Festivities begin at 6:20 PM and we need to be on the field.
