Announcements & Upcoming dates and due dates...

To the marching band...Thank You, Thank You Thank You!!!  Your unselfish dedication to the band and school this past Friday night was exemplary, and way beyond the call of duty!  Everyone thanks you for  supporting the team, the school and the Homecoming Ceremony!  Kudos to all!

Upcoming Marching Band Performances:

This Saturday, October 5th:  New Albany Band Festival 7 PM at New Albany HS Field.  All are welcome to attend!  Band member report time to school is 4 PM.

Due Dates:

Tuesday, Oct 1st:  Due date for any student interested in becoming a part of the Centerburg "WGI Indoor Winds" Group.  Google Form Questionnaires were sent to all eligible band members via Google Forms.

Tuesday, Oct. 1st:  Due date for all marching band upperclassmen and student leaders who are interested in attending the Annual BOA Student Leadership Clinic and BOA Prelims on Nov. 14th and 15th in Indianapolis.  Also sent via Google Forms.

Wednesday, Oct. 2nd:   Due date for all middle school band members interested in becoming nominated for this year's OMEA (Ohio Music Educator's Association) Middle School Honor Band.  Permission slips were given to those students last week and asked to return signed by this coming Wednesday. Nominations cannot be completed without parent's permission in writing.

Friday, Oct. 11th:  Due date for OMEA High School Honor Band Audition Recordings saved on Google Docs and sent to Mr. D.  (includes 2 shorts excerpts, 2 major scales and chromatic).

Marching Band Updated Practice Schedule:

*  As of October first (as usual) there are no more Wednesday after school marching band practices.  The band will continue to practice on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 PM throughout the remainder of the season.  We still have the Senior Show to learn for Senior Night, which is at the end of October, so these Tuesday evening band practices are still mandatory for everyone!

* Additional football games?!  Yes, it is a very strong possibility that we will continue supporting the team and entertaining the crowds well into November...  If you are a member of the marching band then you are required to attend these events.  Please DO NOT assume the season is over until that is communicated to you!!!
