Band Camp Update!!

 Congratulations !     What a super band camp, huh???   Yeah!

BUT....

We are only in the intermediate stages of of putting things together.  We got the bare bones, now we absolutely need to practice and memorize our music AND review the 3d Pyware shows on Youtube!  PLEASE don't forget ANY of your drill or music between now and the 1st day of school.  That can put us back to where we were on the 2nd day of band camp!!!

Next Practices and performances....

Wednesday, August 16th:  5-7 PM   (Learn a "basic" pre-game show (so you'll need your flip folio with a lyre - your responsibility to buy) and "review and work the entire show.  You'll need to be sure you have the Star Spangled Banner, Fight Song and Alma Matter ready in your flip folio!

Thursday, August 17th:  5-7 PM  Review pre-game and work the entire show - Performance at 6:30 PM for the folks attending the Bash in the Burg" ... and for anybody else who'd like to preview the show!

Friday, August 18th:  Practice from 3:15 - 4: 30 followed by instrument shining and tuning, trailer loading and dinner.  Attire will be band polos and khakis with white sneakers/tennis shoes.  After dinner band members make their way (transportation on your own) over to the front of the elementary by 6 PM for tuning and line-up.  We'll enter the stadium in parade-style ranks at 6:30 and the pre-game will begin at 6:50 PM.

REMEMBER:  Fall Band Practices are Monday evenings from 6-9 PM, Wednesdays from 3:15 - 5:00 PM and Fridays from 3:15 - 4:30 PM.

PARENTS:  You make go ahead and add 2 Saturday evening band festivals to your calendars.  The first is Saturday evening, September 9th at Mt. Vernon High School and the other is Saturday evening October 14th at New Albany High School.  Both are evening performances.  We will schedule one more band festival and will keep you updated!
