Week of April 17th - 21st (Announcements)

 A big Thank You goes out to the CHS Jazz Band, all the student helpers, music faculty and the music boosters for making the jazz festival this past Friday evening a super success!  As usual, everyone seemed to have a nice time and the groups sounded great! 👍

We are asking all returning marching band members AND current seniors to please bring in $3 for for this Monday evening's marching band pizza party / band practice.  The $3 was due by last Friday so we'd appreciate it first thing Monday morning if you've not yet donated.  Thanks! 😊

Just a couple notes:   Just so we're all on the same page and have an understanding of what is expected...!

1) "IF" you are signed-up as a member of next season's marching band you must attend the pre-season conditioning sessions.  That was made clear before spring break.  If you can't make time for these classes/rehearsals then please tell me and I'll take you off the band list.  The practices can all be found on the spring and summer marching band practices schedule which is posted right on the CENTERBURG MUSIC WEBSITE.  The types of practices are listed below and will run until the end of the school year.

Select Monday evenings:  (see schedule) Marching band brass and woodwinds (includes all new and returning members)

Every Thursday evening:  Drum line and pit percussion.

Fridays from 3-5 PM:  Color Guard

2) "IF" you find that you have a schedule conflict then YOUR PARENTS must contact the band director ahead of time so planning and arrangements for productive rehearsals can be made.  Remember that work is not an excuse for being absent.

3)  We beg all band members and parents to PLEASE read the Marching Band Handbook which is located right on the Centerburg Music Website.  All information, schedules and protocol is explained in depth.

4)  ATTENTION...Both the 👀

MARCHING BAND REGISTRATION and the⤵ 

DRY CLEANING, SUPPLIES and EQUIPMENT electronic forms 

will go "live" on the music website on Tuesday, April 18th, and will remain open until May 1st.  Parents of next season's marching band members will need to complete and submit both forms online by May 1stAll payments for items such as band polos, t-shirts, shoes, guard jackets, etc... will need to be received in the band office by the last day of school

NOTE:  Because the marching band account is managed by the Centerburg Board of Education Treasurer, things like Venmo and/or Paypal and the like are not accepted.  Only checks or money orders may be used.  Cash is never accepted and will be returned.  Thanks for your understanding!
