It's About that Time!!!
Hey... All super-dee-duper Marching Band Members...!
Mini Camp is right around the corner (July 26th-30th), and here's a breakdown of who we need and when... π
Drumline, Pit Percussion and Guard: 9-12 Noon Monday through Friday (with some break-out sessions if needed in the afternoon)
Field Commanders: 9-12 Noon Monday through Friday + discussion and breakout sessions during and after lunch.
Section Leaders: 1-4 PM on Monday, July 26th (to help with the new member orientation) & 1-3 PM on Friday, July 30th (for your formal section leader training session).
New Members ( All incoming Freshmen as well as "ANYONE" of middle school age, regardless of whether you've marched in the past or not) ... 1-4 PM on Monday, July 26th (New Member Orientation - wear sneakers) & 2:30 - 3:30 PM on Friday, July 30th (New Member Test) π
Everybody: Be sure to attend your scheduled sectionals AND full band rehearsals when scheduled.
NOTES: π
#1 PLEASE... "if" you are currently in possession of a flip book please bring it to the band room and give it to one of the field commanders as soon as you show up. It is their job during mini camp to check them, add new music and make-up new ones if needed. We should have flip books assigned to everyone by the end of band camp.
#2 All band members should already have their 3-ring binder with plastic sleeves put together AND should bring it as soon as they arrive at the band room. We'll be giving you more music as well as copies of this season's drill, so you'll want to have your binder in which to put everything!
#3 All band members should have already "numbered" the measures in the music they have received (The Greatest Showman selections) AND should remember to bring a pencil and highlighter to mini camp!
