Mid-Week Update
Important Stuff!....................
⇨ Peanut Butter Easter Egg $ is due this Friday! This is a major fundraiser for the music department!!
⇨There will be NO Monday evening practices next Monday, March 16th!!
⇨What the Band Room is doing to prevent the spread of illness (of any kind)...
1) A gallon of mouthpiece disinfectant has been ordered and will be placed on the sink counter in the band room. Feel free to use - especially after you've come back from being sick!
2 The hand soap dispenser has been filled and band students are being reminded to wash their hands after band practice, especially if they use an instrument that other students use like drum sticks, tubas, etc...
3) Medi-wipes are being supplied by the nurse's office and are located on sink counter as well. Wipe-down the keys of your instrument, especially if someone else has had it in their hands.
4). Wash mouthpieces often, especially if you just came back from being sick. Woodwind players should also get rid of the old reed, especially if you played it when you were sick.
5) Cough / sneeze into your arm - not hands!
6) Empty brass water valves in the sink, not on the floor. Turn on the water and rinse out the sink afterward.
7). DON'T HOLD OR PLAY ANYBODY ELSE'S INSTRUMENT. WIPE-DOWN PIANOS BEFORE PLAYING THEM WITH ANTICEPTIC WIPES!
8) New Government web site that explains the Corona Virus in excellent laymen's terms: coronavirus.gov
