Weekly update: 9/25 - 9/29
Marching Band Activities:
1) Wed. 9/27 - Marching Band Practice from 3:00 - 5:00 PM on the regular band practice field. Bring your DOTS as we will be blocking the SENIOR SHOW!
2) The North Union Marching Band Festival is this coming Saturday, Sept. 30th. The show begins at 6:00 PM. Band member report time to school is 3:30 PM. Buses will leave promptly at 4:00 PM. Spectators are welcome!
Note: We are aware that we have some students coming directly from a volleyball game ( and other activities) and have asked them to please try to get a car pool going. Please make arrangements so you'll have your uniform and instrument when you get to North Union. See Mr. D. or Mrs. Culbertson for directions if needed!
Marching Band Practices: IMPORTANT
From now until the end of the season marching band practices on both Mondays and Wednesdays will return to the 3:00-5:00 (after school) time slot. We hope we have not disrupted anyone's schedule too much in doing this, but the Monday evening practice, while very productive, did not work how we'd imagined due to how many students (20 per practice) had to miss for athletic and other events. If you have any questions or concerns please come see us! Beginning this Monday, 10/2 we will begin meeting immediately after school on our home practice field! Thanks for your cooperation in this matter.

Monday, 10/2 - Marching Band Practice (on the regular band field) - 3-5 PM
Wednesday, 10/4 - Marching Band Practice (on the regular band field) 3-4 PM
Wednesday evening, 10/4 - Homecoming Parade (Meet at the Centerburg Post Office no later than 6:45 PM in Polos and khakis (shorts are fine). Parade steps-off at 7 PM.
Friday, 10/6 - Marching Band practice (Homecoming half-time music) in block formation on the regular band practice field. Have flip folios!
2017 Alumni Band! - CALLING ALL TROJAN BAND ALUMS! October 6th is homecoming. Stop into the band room and pick-up your half time music. We'll have a practice before the game at 3:30 PM on Friday, October 6th to run-through the music for the show (simple, non-moving block formation).
OMEA District 10 Honor Band Audition Recordings:
All recordings or scales and required excerpts are due in the music office by October 4th. Any student intending on auditioning should tell Mr. D. by this Friday as names will be entered into the District 10 Honor Band Data Base. Good Luck!
