Weekly Announcements... Nov. 29th - Dec. 2nd, 2016
* 6th Grade Band Weekly Performance Examples: Please go to "Google Classroom" where you will find the weekly method book assignments. Examples must be played for the band director at the end of each week and may be either recorded in the form of an audio or video and attached to Google Classroom OR performed "live" during band class on Thursdays, during a study hall, intervention or after school on either Thursdays or Fridays.
* High School Concert band Performance Exam: Playing examples are due to Mr. D. no later than Friday, January 6th. Information can be found on the High School Band "Google Classroom". Performances may be either recorded as an audio or video and attached to Google Classroom or performed "live" either during a study period or after school as long as it is done by Jan. 6th! Test materials are available in the band room and include: (1) major scale in correct rhythm and utilizing appropriate octaves, (1) chromatic scale, (2) technical examples from the current holiday concert repertoire, (1) example for sight reading ( will be distributed but not taught). Please see the Google Classroom login code on the band room whiteboard. Good luck!
* Holiday Concert Bake Sales: It is officially holiday concert season! For each of the 3 concerts we are asking that everyone please bring-in a baked good to contribute to the bake sale. It helps if items are pre-packaged in either plastic bags tied shut or zip lock bags. We don't want to be slicing cake or pie as there will be no plates or flatware available. The concerts are as follows:
High School - Monday, December 12th - 7:00 PM
Grades 7 and 8 - Tuesday, December 13th at 7:00 PM.
5th and 6th Grade - Thursday, December 15th at 7:00 PM
