Marching Band Update: 9/12/16
Happy Monday Everyone! Super job on Friday Night!!!
This week's marching band schedule is as follows:
Monday, Sept. 12th: Full Band Practice 3:00 - 4:30
Tuesday, Sept. 13th: Pit Percussion Practice 3:00 - 3:45 ( No battery percussion )
Wednesday, Sept. 14th: Full Band Practice 3:00 - 4:30
Thursday, Sept. 15th: Pit Percussion AND Battery Percussion Practice 3:00 - 3:45
Friday, Sept. 16th: Full Band Practice 3:00 - 4:30
Load Band Trailer 4:30
Dinner: 4:45 ( Trumpets )
Suit-up 5:15 ( full uniform - weather permitting )
Uniform check (cafeteria) 5:30
Meet in front of the elementary school 6:15
Enter field for pre-game 6:30
Game against Northmor 7:00
Saturday, Sept. 17th: Annual Old Time Farming Festival Parade (A.M.)
Arrive at band room and load band trailer 9:15 A.M.
In parade block BY 9:45 A.M.
Parade Step-Off 10:00 AM (followed by a short concert at the
park (we'll announce which tunes we'll be performing)
Announcements / Reminders:
1) "IF" you will not be eating what a particular section of the band is planning on providing for you on Friday nights you MUST sign-off on the sheet on the band or choir office doors. Too much food is going to waste because so many students are going out to eat or having their own food delivered to them. Please be respectful of this.
2) Underclassmen are NOT to ride in student - driven cars over to the field, nor are they to get in other student's cars to go out to eat during the "band dinner" on Friday evenings. We teachers assume that everyone is at the school either having dinner or getting into their uniform. The only students who are to be going out in their cars are those upperclassmen who have completed and signed the form stating that they have permission to do so. Parents are obviously welcome to pick up their own children granted they let one of the teachers aware that they are doing so.
3) The teachers / directors are responsible for the students during the hours of the posted marching band schedule (above) and need to keep tabs on the locale of all the band members. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation!
