Everybody get Pumped... Here comes Band Camp '25!!!

Greetings to all our wonderful TPMB Members and their families!

I hope your summer has been fun so far and you've had time to relax and unwind  from the end of the school year!  Thanks to all of you who participated in both the Memorial Day Parade Ceremony AND the USA Days Parade.  A special thanks goes out to Mrs. Teschler and Mr. Lunder for stepping up to the Plate to take charge for the USA Days Parade.  I have literally been all over the country for over a month, and as I write this, am still 1500 miles from Centerburg....but thinking about you nonetheless!

Just a couple things so you can get ready for camp!  SEE BELOW🠋

1.  By now all band members should have enrolled in the Marchingbandmovement.com course.  I had sent you the link back in May and told you to please go through some of it so you were ready for camp.  Each night of the first week of camp we will send out a short video assignment for you to complete.  These are marching & visual moves, and you'll need to practice them along with the video in front of the mirror.  Then we will review them the following day!  When you show up for the first day of camp we are going to assume that you've done your homework and gone through at least the first 1/2 of the videos...at least to watch and learn the terminology!

2.  All Newbies (incoming Freshmen and 8th graders....regardless of weather or not you have marched in the past), are reminded of the new member orientation on Monday, July 21st at 1 PM.

3.  All band (and guard) members must have a red Igloo 1 gallon water jug.  We ordered them for anyone who told us they needed one back during the Springtime evening band practices.  We'll give them to you (part of your band fee...no added cost!) the first day of camp. It goes with you wherever you go during camp.

4. Thank you to all the band members who registered for the DCI show in Canton on August 4th.  Tickets have been ordered and the registration window is closed.  This will be a life-changing evening for you as you get to witness what corps style marching band is all about + it's going to blow your mind.....about how good they are!  Look forward to it!

5.  Finally...Mrs. Teschler sent  out the block schedule for this season's camp.  If you didn't receive it please let either Mrs. Teschler or Mr. D know and we'll send it to you.  It's your job to go through it and circle the times (blocks) that you are required to be at camp.  Remember, the band camp dates have been posted since March and if you are a marching band member you are required to attend all sessions.

OK...See you soon!   I'll send out a separate communication to drum majors and section leaders about what we'll be doing!  Have a happy!
