 This Week: 👀

Thank you to all the jazz band members and other band students who participated in this past Friday Evening's "Jumbalaya Jam" Jazz Festival.  Everything went smoothly and we had a blast...not to mention some super Jumbalaya.  Thank You also to all those CMS and CHS families who donated dessert items and cornbread for the occasion!    Special thanks to all the parents who collected entrance fees, made the Jumbalaya, set-up, cleaned up etc...Without you we could not be what we are!  Kudos to all...!

This Week:😊

Monday, 4/14:  No Jazz Practices.  A big Thank You goes out to both the middle and high school Jazz bands for a super job this past season!

Wednesday, 4/16:  Drum Major Auditions  5:30 PM

Wednesday, 4/16:  Annual 2025-26 Marching Band Meet & Greet Night + band organizational "student" meeting and rehearsal. 7-8:30 PM  All required to attend unless involved in an athletic event, in which case the student's parent should shoot Mr. D. an email to that effect.  We keep close tabs on attendance.

Thursday, 4/17:  Marching Band Drum Line & Front Ensemble Rehearsal 3:15-4:15 PM

Thursday, 4/17:  First meeting / Clinic for any student wishing to become a part of next season's color guard.  Everyone is welcome...  Pass the good word! 3-5 PM

Upcoming Dates / Events:😎

Wednesday, April 16th:  First full 2025-26 marching band student organizational meeting, meet and greet and rehearsal.  EVERYONE must have a 3-ring binder complete with plastic sleeves for their music!  Be sure to bring one!  All of next year's marching band members are required to attend unless involved in an athletic event, in which case the student's parent should shoot Mr. D an email to that effect...Thanks!

Tuesday, April 29th:  2025-26 Marching Band Brass & Woodwinds Rehearsal 7-8:30 PM

Sunday, May 4th:  Choir Cantata Performance

Tuesday, May 6th:  Elementary + Middle & High School Band Concert

Friday, May 9th:  Middle School Music Competition Trip to Wilmington HS and then to King's Island. 

Wednesday, May 14th:  Last 2025-26 Marching Band Brass & Woodwinds Rehearsal 7-8:30 PM

Wednesday, May 21st:  Memorial Day Parade Practice (MEMBERS OF THIS CURRENT YEAR'S Marching Band 3-4 PM. (This is a change of date from what is on the marching band calendar!)

Don't forget that the HS Band plays for both graduation and the Memorial Day Ceremonies!
