 This week in music:  April 1st - 5th. 2024

Hello all Centerburg music people.  Hope you all had a relaxing break! Below please find the schedule for this week as well as some upcoming performance/participation dates.

1. All marching band payments are due in the music office by this Friday, April 5th.  Please make checks payable to Centerburg High School.  There is no way to use PayPal or Venmo for this as the board of education does not accept them.  Check or money orders only...  NO cash...sorry!  "IF" you have forgotten what you owe please shoot Mr. D. an e-mail or have your child check in with him during the school day.

2. The annual Centerburg Jazz Festival is slated for next Friday, April 12th in the CHS Auditorium.  This year we're calling it the "Jumbalaya Jam" and student participants will have their choice of either authentic New Orleans Jumbalaya or Texas Chili.  The festival includes 14 area high school Jazz bands + the MVNU Jazz Ensemble.  Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and students.  

3.  The annual Marching Band New Member "Meet and Greet" Night is slated for Tuesday, April 16th from 6:30-8:15 PM.  All new incoming members are invited to join all the current band members for an evening of food, games and commeraderie.  Make sure to bring your instrument!!!😀

This week:

Monday:  HS Jazz Band 7:00 - 8:00 PM

Wednesday:  Color guard practice  3:00 - 5:00 PM

Thursday:  First mandatory Drumline & Pit Percussion Spring Training AND advanced middle school Percussion.  3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.  If you are planning on participating in either drumline or pit this season you need to be there! 👀
