 Band Camp is right around the corner 

(PLEASE READ)     CAMP SCHEDULE

Announcement:  We are in need of 2 students (friends of yours maybe?)  who would like to learn bass drum!  NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY) Just a good sense of rhythm and a great attitude!!!  Have them shoot Mr. D. and e-mail NOW!!

Welcome back to all our seasoned veterans as well as our wonderful "newbies"!  As posted on the Music Website in the Marching Band Handbook, New Member Presentation and 2023 Student/Parent Presentation, this is the schedule for the 2 week-long camp season.  While the first week (known as mini camp) only requires students to be present at certain times, the 2nd week (or big band camp) is positively mandatory as we have a tremendous amount of things to accomplish before we need to perform on Friday, August 18th!

Here's the scoop...

Monday, July 24th:

8AM - 9AM: Drum Major Meeting

9AM - 12:00 Noon: Student Leaders Meeting (all drum majors and section leaders and captains)

9AM - 12 Noon:  Drumline, Pit Percussion and Guard

1PM - 4PM:  New Member Orientation  (all first time marchers + EVERYONE who will still be in middle school!

Tuesday, July 25th:

9AM - 12 Noon: Drumline, pit percussion and guard  (drum majors to get music sorted, copied and set-out)

1PM - 4 PM:  Woodwind Training, sectionals and rehearsal (Everyone...even new members)

Wednesday, July 26th:

9AM - 12 Noon:  Drumline, pit percussion and guard

1PM - 4 PM: Brass Training, sectionals and rehearsal (Everyone...even new members)

Thursday, July 27th:

9AM - 12 Noon:  Drumline, pit percussion and guard

1PM - 4 PM:  Brass and Woodwinds (warm-ups, techniques, sectionals and ensemble rehearsal)

Friday, July 28th:

9AM - 12 Noon:  Drumline, pit percussion and guard

1PM - 4PM:  (Brass & Woodwinds)...ALL percussion join-in at 2:30PM!

Sunday, July 30th:  

4PM - 7PM - Full Band (EVERYBODY) - Opening Day Exercises and Organization 

7PM:  Parent Meeting in Auditorium (attendance sign-in sheet).  Please bring at least one of your parents/guardians to the meeting in the auditorium!)

Monday, July 31st - Friday, August 4th:  (if you are also in sports, please make arrangements with your coach so you are present for the learning of drill between 8AM and Noontime.  We can work with your schedule otherwise!

8AM - 12 Noon: Drill (on the field)

12 Noon:  LUNCH (students do not leave campus unless their folks come get them...no matter what age!)

1PM - 3:30PM: Indoor sectionals, ensembles

3:30PM:  BREAK

4PM - 6PM:  On the field (music and marching)

6PM:  Camp Concludes  (PLEASE do not miss unless you're sick...really important!)
