Getting ready for Band Camp '22!

 Reminders to all!


Monday, July 25th:   Mini Band Camp begins (Please check the camp schedule to see when you're supposed to report!)  Please remember that participation at camp is mandatory - including those students involved in fall athletics.  Please make arrangements with your coaches/advisors (including journalism) so you will not miss...especially the learning of drill in the morning hours!

Camp attire Shorts, t-shirt, supportive sneakers!  NO jeans, sandals, boots, etc...  Please be sure to check the online marching band handbook to be sure you know what to bring to camp...i.e., 3-ring binder, pencil, highlighter, lunch, sunblock, water bottle towel, etc...

NOTE:  Mr. D. will not be available until 2 days prior to the start of camp.  Any payments should be given to the school main office and any correspondence will need to be done via e-mail (cdettmar@centerburgschools.org)

PLEASE... do the following between now and camp:

1)  Aerobic exercise!!! push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, stretches, running, swimming,bicycling,etc...

2)  Light weights (especially if you are a drumline member or play a brass instrument and are over age 14)

3)  Go through your music and try to learn as .much as possible 

Monday, July 25th:

9AM - 12 Noon:  ALL section leaders and other student leaders  (Training and organization)

9AM - 12 Noon: ALL drumline and pit percussion members

1PM-4PM:  New member orientation and basics training (this includes ALL incoming freshmen as well as our middle school member contingency!  

Please see the online band camp schedule (also available in the online handbook) for exact times and dates.  Also... everyone should review the online Marching Band Presentation (slides) so you aware of rules and policies for the upcoming season!
