Weekly Update (9/17/2018)

Marching Band:

Monday - NO AFTER SCHOOL PRACTICE!
Wednesday - Practice 3-5 PM
Friday - Practice 3-4:15 PM
Friday Band Dinner:  Flutes & Baritones
Friday Football Game:  AWAY at Highland
Saturday:  Westerville Central Band Show ( Trojan Pride Band takes the field 1t 6:30 PM!)

                ( REPORT TIME TO SCHOOL IS 3:30 PM.  BUSES LEAVE AT 3:45.  FESTIVAL BEGINS AT 5:00 PM.  $8 GENERAL ADMISSION.  CONCESSIONS AVAILABLE!)

PLEASE NOTE:  All marching band performances have been up on the calendar (online on music blog) since June.  Please try not to let us know the week-of a performance that you are unable to attend something. We're all part of a team and have ONLY 2 Saturday band festivals.   Everyone is needed!  Thanks!!! 

6th & 7th Grade Instrumental Music & Band:  Please remember that students are given weekly / bi-weekly assignments (including parts of their band music) and are given a playing grade at each and every period 3 intervention lesson.  Grades will not show-up or be recorded on Google Classroom so it is best to check Power Teacher to keep abreast of what assignments have been assigned grades and what is still owed.

8th Grade Band Grades:  Please be advised that 8th grade band members will be graded individually on their progress every 2 weeks during a "pull-out" from band itself.  Items we will quiz them on include whatever playing examples (book exercises) we've been going over in class as well as any and all portions of band music that has been rehearsed.  Every playing quiz is worth 10 points.  Assignments can be seen on Google Classroom.
