Announcements:
May 9th & May 16th: 2018-19 Drum Line Meetings / Practices (7:00-8:30 PM - MANDATORY)
If you are planning on marching this coming season you need to be at these meetings!
Friday, May 18th: ALL 6th grade student-owned instruments MUST go home. Any school-owned instruments being used by 6th graders must be left in the band room in front of the white board for inventory check!
Saturday, May 19th: 7th & 8th Grade Band/Choir competition trip to King's Island. Students should arrive no later than 7:30 AM. Buses will leave promptly at 8:00 AM. We cannot wait for any straglers, and if you do miss the bus your money cannot be refunded! Be sure to bring money for food (McDonalds or the like for breakfast at 9:00 AM, and 2 meals in the park - $10 each?)
May 20th: Graduation (Gymnasium). HS Band students should be seated in the gym with their instruments no later than 2:30 PM. Please be sure to have your band folder ( we'll be performing the Processional "Pomp and Circumstance" and Africa (with cuts) along with the seniors.
May 28th: Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony. ( We will be performing "You're a Grand Ol' Flag/America". (Band polos and khakis with white sneakers) . Load band trailer at 9:45, line-up at post office at 10:15, parade step-off 10:30. Band members dismissed from cemetary. PLEASE BE SURE TO COME BACK TO THE SCHOOL TO PUT AWAY PERCUSSION. ALL BAND INSTRUMENTS MUST GO HOME TO "PRACTICE"!
June 29th: Parade Practice at the high school from 5:00-7:30 PM. (FULL BAND! That includes all new AND returning members as well as color guard and drum line. If you are only a part of the pit percussion you will not need to be present for this event!
June 30th: U.S.A. Days Parade. (We'll be performing 1) Star Spangled Banner, 2)Fight Song, 3) Grand Ol' Flag, 4) Tequila and 5) Gimme Some Lovin) Please be sure you have your instrument lyre and flip folder and that those particular selections are in it. You MAY use your flip folder for parades! ( THIS IS THE FIRST TIME OUR NEW MEMBERS WILL MARCH WITH US) Band polos and khakis with white sneakers. Load trailer at 10:30 AM - Line-up in front of church at 10:45 AM, Step-off at 11:00 AM
July 30th: First Day of Band Camp! 8 AM SHARP. Please be early!!! Get Psyched!
