Music Handbook Sign-offs
Reminders to all Band students (and their parents) grades 6 through 12
Just a reminder to all band students and their parents to please review this year's music department handbook (available for review on this blog) , complete the attached google form and send it to Mr. D. Besides being full of information for the school year, reviewing the handbook and signing-off on it counts as "10 points toward the 2nd marking period grade". It is imperative that all students and their families understand the music department guidelines, grading procedures and have access to the school year's music performances, calendars and OMEA (Ohio Music Educator's Association) adjudicated events, of which the bands participate.
Holiday Concerts:
4th, 5th & 6th Grade Band and Choir Concert: Wednesday, December 16th - 7:00 PM
7th/8th & High School Concert: Thursday, December 17th - 7:00 PM.
* Students should arrive for warm-up/tuning 30 minutes prior to the start of the concerts.
* Band students wear "seasonal" semi-formal dress:
- Gentlemen: Button-down dress shirt with tie, dress slacks and dress shoes. (suit jacket or sports coat optional).
- Ladies: dress or skirt/slacks with blouse and dress shoes.
Note: Students are not to wear any kind of holiday-oriented hats or other adornments other than small earrings in the performance.
