  Tonight (Wednesday). at 7:30 PM:  "NEW" Marching Band Member PARENT Meeting .  (Will only be 2-25 minutes long. (HS Band Room) Tomorrow (Thursday) from 6:30 - 8:30 PM :  2022-23 Marching Band Practice (EVERYBODY) This Saturday :  Annual Music Department Mattress Sale Fundraiser - HS Gym from 10AM 'till 4PM.  (WE NEED STUDENT VOLUNTEER HELPERS AND THE SIGN-UP SHEET IS ON THE WHITE BOARD IN THE BAND ROOM)

  Congratulations on an absolutely SUPER job in your Thursday night practices!   You're working hard and it shows!  Keep-up the good work! BUT.... Before we go any further Mr. D. needs to be sure everybody (band members and parents alike) understand some things.  We apologize for  being blunt, but these things are really important! 1.  Beginning March 1st all Thursday evening percussion practices were made mandatory ...that is, if the student is planning on participating in next year's band.  We are making changes in our instruction and style and everyone's presence is necessary so we can learn to work together and be on the "same plate" so-to-speak.    IF A STUDENT HAS AN ISSUE AND CANNOT MAKE A PRACTICE THEN THE PARENTS  ARE ASKED TO PLEASE CONTACT MR.   This Week's Happenings... Monday:   Jazz Band 6:30 - 8:30 PM Tuesday:  Centerburg Jazz Exchange Concert and Spaghetti Dinner                  5:30 - Dinner for all student participants and directors (Cafeteria)...  Last night we had our Parent informational meeting about the Mattress fundraiser. Thank you to the few parents who attended that meeting. Because there were so few, CFS has offered to have a second parent meeting via Zoom on Wednesday April 20th at 7:00pm. We really want parents to hear what this mattress thing is all about and know the details so that you can help spread the word because we all know that it's not our kids and their friends who are looking for a new bed, it's adults. Please make this a priority. It will last only 20-30 mins and is highly informative. Again, if we have 50 parents, we will receive a $250 donation to our program. The zoom link will be shared here, via email, and social media.  Another need we have is on the Music Booster Board. We have two officers leaving us this year and need to fill those two holes.  2022-23 Marching Band Practice Tonight!!! 6:30 PM. Band Room ALL students marching next year are required to attend!!! "IF" you ( your parents that is ) have already notified Mr. D. about an athletic competition then obviously you will be excused.  All band members will need to sign-in the attendance sheet ! Just a note to our NEW members and their parents: 1) If your child needs to be absent or late to marching band due to a school-related athletic event please contact the band office far in advance so we can plan ahead.  Also... please read the online marching band handbook so you are familiar with what is expected.   2) Band members are not excused from marching band practices for social family-related events.  This is a Varsity-level activity and is treated the same as any other. 3) During the fall season, ALL marching band members are required to attend the 2 weekly practices (Monday evenings from 6:30-8:30 PM and Wednesday afternoons from 3:15-5:00...
